Green Island Spice is a family own and operated business. The idea of creating our own products came from our many years of experience in the restaurant business and seeing the need and value in creating our own products. By creating our own unique brand, we were able to control the quality and authenticity of the ingredients and spices in each product.
The Green Island Spice product line was started in 1991 at the Blue Marlin Restaurant in Bradley Beach, New Jersey, a family-owned and operated restaurant specializing in the Caribbean and International cuisine. As a restauranteur, we had a tendency to use large amounts of jerk seasoning and hot pepper sauces. In 1991 we started making our own jerk seasoning and hot pepper sauce to achieve a unique flavor, a favorite with our loyal clients. Next came out a blend of balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing. We have since created our latest product, Green Island Spice Steak Sauce with more products to come in the near future.
We have received rave reviews on the taste and flavor of our food by using our own, Green Island Spice products. We take pride in the fact that our products do not have any added sugar, MSG, preservatives, or colorants. We hope you enjoy the unique blends of herbs in our product line as much as we do.
